A new resource via Noonsite – Caribbean Security Index.
From the post – ‘The FreeCruisingGuides team who have developed a number of useful free Caribbean cruising guides over the last few years, have now launched the Caribbean Security Index (CSI), a tool to assist cruisers in assessing the risk from crime at ports of call in the Caribbean.’
‘Dr. Catherine Hebson, who developed the CSI, comments “Just as cruising boats use weather prognostics, the CSI index provides a sophisticated and reliable way to avoid areas where crime against cruising boats is probable. The index should be part and parcel of the process of determining the proposed routing for any cruising boat. A cruising boat’s best tactic regarding crime is to avoid it!”’
